Not in the spec sheet
Custom electronic modules for VAG-platform vehicles. Engineering, not flashing. Not diagnostics, not coding — hardware we design ourselves.
The factory stopped where the budget ran out. We keep going.
WHO WE ARE
byte.cust
We design and build OEM+ modules for Audi and Volkswagen — primarily the MLB Evo architecture. Each module solves one specific problem: something the factory could have done, but didn’t. Sometimes it was the budget. Sometimes the market. Sometimes the feature just never made it to your trim level.
We don’t flash other people’s code or trade in access keys. We develop our own boards, our own firmware, and our own logic on the CAN bus. The result works as if the factory installed it — no traces, no fault codes, no compromise in how it looks.
HOW WE WORK
Integration, not modification
A good module is one you can’t see. It doesn’t throw errors in diagnostics, doesn’t conflict with factory systems, and doesn’t need explaining at your next dealer visit. It simply adds a function that wasn’t there before — and behaves as if it always was.
We work at the protocol level. Reverse-engineering the CAN bus, analyzing factory frames, building our own implementation — this isn’t “wiring up something off the shelf.” It’s understanding how the car talks to itself, and learning to speak its language.
WHY IT MATTERS / POSITION
Every module is its own product
We don’t ship universal “fits-everything” solutions. Each module is built for a specific platform and a specific task, tested on a real car, and released when it works the way it should — not when it needs to sell.
The lineup is small and grows slowly. That’s deliberate. A few modules we stand behind beat a catalog of promises.
